Nurture in Play
Child-Centred Play Therapy by Yasmin Johnson

What is Play Therapy?

Play is vital to children’s social, emotional, cognitive, physical, creative and language development. Play Therapy allows children to use play to communicate at their own level. A child-centred approach, enables the child to understand their muddled feelings or upsetting events at their own pace without feeling pressured, helping the child feel empowered and understood.

Who may Play Therapy be suitable for?

  • Children struggling with feelings of anxiety

  • Children who have experienced trauma or negative events

  • Children who have experienced loss through divorce, separation or death

  • Behavioural and emotional difficulties

  • Complex life experiences

If you would like to discuss whether Play Therapy is suitable for your child, please feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have.
